Vice President for Business and Administration

Columbia Theological Seminary, an educational ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA) located in Decatur, GA seeks the forward-thinking, operationally oriented, strategic leader called to serve as the school’s Vice President for Business and Administration (VPBA), who serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Columbia. For nearly 200 years, Columbia Theological Seminary (CTS) has educated faithful, imaginative, and effective leaders to serve the Church and the world.

The VPBA will report to the President, serve as a member of the President’s Council, and provide staff support for the Budget and Finance, Investment, and Audit Committees of the Board of Trustees. The new VPBA will be an experienced senior-level finance and operations executive. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of success and achievement in a series of increasingly responsible leadership positions. While candidates from a wide variety of professional backgrounds are expected and welcomed, experience and/or engagement in theological education, higher education, or other complex, non-profit organizations will be viewed as helpful. Appropriate educational credentials, including a bachelor’s degree are assumed.
